Early Dismissal Procedure

In order to protect the test environment we ask our students and parents to note that students are expected to remain in their test location for the duration of upcoming AP and SOL examinations. When students enter or leave a test environment it can be distracting and unfair to other students who are doing their best during important exams. As a result we will not deliver early release passes to students’ test locations during a test.

Students who wish to request an early dismissal following the completion of a test should present a note to their Alpha Secretary before 7:30 AM on the day of the dismissal. As permission for an early dismissal can only be extended after verbal verification by a parent, failure to submit a note in a timely manner may result in delayed release due to the volume of requests for Early Dismissal. Students should then sign out with their Alpha Secretary prior to leaving school.

Important instruction will be ongoing through AP and SOL testing until the end of the year, please support your child's learning by ensuring that he or she remains in school for the full school day.
